My Top 5 TV Shows of 2014
5. Orange is the New Black
Netflix’s hit comedy has a swatch of interesting supporting characters, and I love shows with a swatch of supporting characters. Sure most of them are heavy caricatures, but its still a pretty fun show.
4. Brooklyn 99
The freshest new comedy to be seen on the networks since Community. Its just damn funny and has slowly been winning me over the more I see it. Andy Sandberg is hilarious and his style of humour is evident throughout the whole show. I hope this sticks around for a while.
3. House of Cards
This show seems to be getting better and better, as the second season took the foundation of the first and jolted it with a new infusion of energy. Its smart, ts savvy, its a great fix for backdoor politics.
2. True Detective
I’m not sure I’m a fan of the overall “separate story” premise for the series, but I have to say that the debut season was a knockout. I was very skeptical at first, but McCaunahey and Harrelson drew me in and kept my interest the whole way through. Great tone and atmosphere, and remember that scene when they are escaping the gang fight? Awesome.
1. Game of Thrones
I mean, its my favourite show on TV right now. I’m a massive fan f the books, and the show is a great compliment to them. The fourth season may have been their strongest effort since their amazing debut season. So many great moments from Tyrion’s trial, to the Red Viper vs. the Mountain, to that amazing battle episode at the wall.
I agree with you on four of the five.

Top three choices are all great. Not seen the Orange or Brooklyn yet but they’re on “my list!”
