Smart People

This was a very pretentious film, but that was kind of the point, which is a hard formula to work with. It wasn’t unenjoyable, but it was certainly nothing special. I liked most of the actors in it (with the exception of sarah jessica parker), though they almost played their characters a little too bland at times.
The movie also didn’t seem to have much of a point to it, except that Dennis Quaid’s grumpy professor becomes slightly less of a jerk. The story was pretty full of nothing, and the characters were fun to watch at times yet at others they were not very likable.

6 /10.
